House Committee Votes Decisively For Internet Gambling
(WASHINGTON, DC) -- The House Financial Services Committee voted 41-22 on Wednesday to pass a bill that would legalize and regulate Internet gambling in the United States, while rejecting an amendment to protect tribal gaming interests.

(USA) -- A study of tribal casinos shows a checkered pattern of benefits and drawbacks for those on the reservation. William Evans and Wooyoung Kim found that when casinos open, local wages and employment rates improve, but drop-out rates increase and rates of college enrollment tend to decline.

Casino Rumors Swirl Around Sheboygan
(WISCONSIN) -- Rumors of a casino making it’s way to Sheboygan are swirling around town. The Sheboygan Press reported Wednesday that “Sheboygan officials have laid the groundwork for a casino in the city’s South Pier District in meetings with Kohler Company and a northern Wisconsin Indian Tribe”, and stated that Mayor Bob Ryan has been working on bringing a casino to Sheboygan shortly after taking office in 2009.
